It brings back so many found memories of childhood with my mother and Grandmother, both of whom are still alive and well in Liberia. Thank God!   As a child, I looked forward to the surprise from Santa and also the food, especially the Jollof rice and whateve...

Captured Personalities

This post has little or nothing to do with beauty, for beauty comes from within but everything to do with the art of taking a great photo.   Being a facebook personality with 5000 individuals on my friend list, 136 followers and 99 friend requests waiting to be accepted, I have the privilege to view dozens of photos daily.   We are in the digital age with folks constantly posting pictures of themselves.   Some are natural with the camera and very photogenic. Capturing a photo that appears natural and conveys the subject's personality is a skill that takes patience and practice. Being photogenic is all about being confident, being yourself and allowing the photographer to capture your character rather than producing a technically perfect pose. All 25 of these photos prove just that.   Stevie Flem R Pratricia Madia Vivian Hooke Best Garlo Agatha Badio Mends-Cole Lucia Rebecca Wilson Nancy Nan Vivian Williams Theresa Ka...

These...

Alabama Kicker Given Letter Of Support By Bush

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama kicker Cade Foster endured more than his fair share of criticism after missing two field goals and having a third blocked during a last-second loss to Auburn on Nov. 30. [+] Enlarge John David Mercer/USA TODAY Sports Alabama kicker Cade Foster received words of encouragement from former President George W. Bush just days after some costly misses against Auburn. The 34-28 defeat, blamed largely by the public on Foster's faulty leg, ended the then-No. 1 Crimson Tide's undefeated season and knocked them out of the SEC and BCS championship hunts. Foster's teammates have since stuck up for him and many on social media have joined in supporting the senior from Texas. But no text, tweet or Facebook message may compare to the letter Foster received from former President George W. Bush. On Wednesday, Foster tweeted a picture of the hand-written letter dated Dec. 3, 2013. It began, "Dear Cade (#43), Life has its setbacks. I know! However,...
