Bassa Tailor Union demands share of Chevron’s donation

Tweh The National Tailor Union of Liberia is struggling to defend the alleged mismanagement of items and money donated to the Union by Chevron Liberia limited.  An agreement was signed between the tailor union and Chevron Liberia followed by a training conducted through the sponsorship of Chevron in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. The grant from Chevron was intended to facilitate the construction and rehabilitation of areas in two counties for an effective establishment and full operation of a texture industry. It has been months since the training ended in Grand Bassa County with reports emerging from the camp of the Tailor Union that the donation and grant have been given to the union in Monrovia for distribution between two counties that attended the training. Liberia, China Sign Framework Agreement For RIA Rehabilitation

Monrovia - A framework agreement between the Governments of Liberia and the People’s Republic of China for the provision of over US$50 million (350 Million Chinese Yuan ) concessional loan for the upgrade and expansion project of the Roberts International Airport has been signed in Monrovia. The maturity of the loan is for 20 years with an annual loan interest rate of 2%. According to a release from the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), the bilateral agreement, which is in accordance with further developing the friendly relations, economic and technical cooperation between the two countries; states that the People’s Republic of China has agreed for EXIM Bank of China to provide the Government of Liberia with the concessional loan. PRC Speaker Jeffrey Gbatu Arrested in US

For war crimes, crimes against humanity By:  C.Y. Kwanue Jeffery Gbatu, the only surviving member of the People’s Redemption Council (PRC), has reportedly been arrested in the United States of America by Interpol, the Daily Observer has reliably learnt. According to the report, Gbatu was arrested on Monday, September 19, in Charlotte, North Carolina, when Homeland Security alerted Interpol, which subsequently charged him with “war crimes and crimes against humanity,” which he allegedly committed in the aftermath of the 1980 coup. “Gbatu’s arrest is in reaction to his alleged role played in the heat of the coup, which witnessed the execution of 13 officials of the Tolbert regime,” a source close to Gbatu’s family in Liberia informed this newspaper via mobile phone. Upcoming Liberian Artist Flex Threatens Controversial Blogger Berenice Mulubah

Flex Upcoming Liberian artist, with the hit song "Fire the Demons Dem", threatens Liberian Controversial blogger Berenice Mulubah.  The blogger is known for her controversial articles and has a strong fan base from that.  Yesterday on her Facebook profile, she posted this competitive post between Trapco artists Mazee Blanco and Bucky Raw.  The post had both artists fans fired up, eventually leading into a video made from each artist claiming the crown.   Flex didn't take the stirred kindly.  He took to social media, claiming that the blogging is stirring up division between both artists and threatens to take matters into his hands.  Check out the video he made.  

Mayowa Bae Joins 1Step2Fame Management Team

Zaza Dance by Mayowa Bae Four months ago, 1Step2Fame management team excitedly welcomed international artist Mayowa Bae on board.  Mayowa Bae is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter and performer. He started his musical career at an early age, singing in church choir, and later went on to pursue a full time secular musical career. In 2002 he recorded songs like "E Taka Oshi"and "Nobody but You," a sentimental love and emotional song. Nobody But You instantly got the attention of Nigeria’s TV guru and event host, Vj Adamz of sound city.   His love and admiration for the song had him tweeting this record several times. James Salinsa Debbah One of the most anticipated games, Liberia vs Tunis, left Lone Star fans disappointed and heartbroken.  Horrible goalkeeping and defensive blunders were displayed at the Stade Mustapha Ben Jannet in Monastir when Tunisia hammered Liberia 4-1 in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier on September 4.   This morning, Lone Star coach, James Salinsa Debbah, took to his Facebook page to comfort fans on behalf of the team.  Check out his words below.   "(A Process!!!)
