Domestic Violence Advocates Frown Upon Overwhelming Welcomes From Bucky Raw Fans 'When it comes to domestic violence our statement should be clear and unwavering!! we are against domestic VIOLENCE!!!'

Alex Tashiki Sonpon

Tashiki Alex Sonpon, a Liberian promoter, took to Facebook to express his concerns on the message Liberians are sending to Domestic Violence victims, by overwhelmingly showing emphatic to the perpetrator, but not the victim, in the Bucky Raw sage.  Bucky Raw was arrested eight months ago for domestic violence, and deported few days ago for violating his parole.  The Hipco artist has been wholehearted welcome by his fans all around the world.  To most domestic violence advocates, this reaction is sending a wavering message to the society.  Liberia has a high rate of domestic violence.  In 2017, we had over six cases that led to deaths and near death experiences.

Check out Mr. Sonpon post below and reactions from few other domestic violence advocates.

"While it is true Bucky Raw is one of the finest artist and gentleman that I know, it is very interesting to see him been hailed by so many people especially some of the same people who preached and fought against domestic violence. Is it only worth talking abt or criticizing when it is on the other side of the fence? Over the last couple of years lot of our women suffered from domestic violence and most of us were very outrageous on the men who committed such acts and sought for them to pay for their actions. As much as it is sad to see our brother in the position he's in now, I'm also in awe seeing and reading all the good things people are writing. This feels like tributes at a funeral where all the nicest things are said abt a person who we know committed an act we all criticized and fought against.
We must all continue to fight against domestic violence, not just when it affects someone we know. We cannot sit back and not intervene but rather wait till one person is a victim and another is convicted before raining down praises on those individuals. We are responsible for our actions in life.
Bucky, I wish you all the best in this new chapter of your life, I'm not here to rain praises on you but rather urge you to strive to make today and tomorrow a better one for the most important people in your life. Best of Luck!!"

"Bucky Raw had got himself in that category and then we the same Liberians are not looking at the victims of domestic violence ( the kids and their mothers but rather focusing on Bucky Raw." Rubben Pewee
" Even if he apologizes domestic violence should not be taken so lightly. I am sure this is not the first time. No one gets up in the morning and do stuff like this. The only difference is they get caught. But Liberians base everything on friendship until it is affects them or their family." Mai Stevens-Bradley

"When it comes to domestic violence our statement should be clear and unwavering!! we are against domestic VIOLENCE!!!" Ellen Cece

"Was he sentenced to any time for DV? No, did he say or acknowledge that he beat on a woman in his apology, no. Stop saying he did his time. He was arrested for probation violation and detained until deportation." Bobby Peters

"I am so fucking disappointed embarrassed and ashamed of our Liberian people, #1 the person who started the go fund me account for Bucky Raww is a dumb ass and a very stupid ass person. There are very talented people in lib who don't have the money to support their talent, this man aka one of the best #hipco rapper made a decision to sell drugs or do what ever the fuck he choose to do that got him deported why are y'all raising money for him, the people who donating are idiots and stupid as fuck. That right there is why the lib entertainment is where it is at. y'all don't know who to support and where to put y'all momey. Again you all are dumb stupid asses and fucking stupid. Now if you want argue inbox me but if you say anything stupid that don't make sense I will cuss ma." Adam Whisnant

What President Trump and Kim Jong Un Ate

The historic summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un continued midday Tuesday, as the leaders satisfied their appetites while holding negotiations with a contingent of advisers over a working lunch. The lunch, which followed a 45-minute one-on-one meeting between the leaders earlier in the morning and bilateral discussion with senior aides, was held at the Capella Hotel on Singapore’s Sentosa Island. It was far from an intimate affair, with each leader accompanied by a bevy of senior staff, according to the White House. Joining Trump were Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chief of Staff John Kelly, National Security Advisor John Bolton, U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Deputy Assistant to the President for Asian Affairs Matthew Pottinger. Kim was accompanied by Kim Yong Chol , the former spy chief and one of North Korea’s chief negotiators, as well as Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, former
