It must be the year of the underdogs: Liverpool Crushed Manchester City - Roma pull off an incredible upset over Barcelona
Reported by Berenice Mulubah
I am slowly falling back in love with soccer. I used to be a soccer fan when I lived in Liberia, just not on an international level. Thanks to my new workmate, Peter C. Albach, I am back on track and this time, it's on an international level. Like the recent Liverpool and Roma victories, mehn, I just couldn't resist, but to write about it.
Roma pull off what Manchester City could not – overcome a three goal deficit. After trailing 4 – 1 in the first leg they pulled of the impossible by beating Barcelona 3 – 0. Wow.
Then, Liverpool came from a half deficit of 0 - 1, scoring 2 goals in the second half, effectively ending Manchester hope of progressing to the next round. That's crazyyy.
