President George Weah is in Accra for a two day state visit. The president along with his delegation have already visited Abidjan and arrived in Accra 11:30 this morning.
He was received by Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia at the Jubilee Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport.
Mr Weah inspected a guard of honour mounted by the Ghana Armed Forces amid 21 gun salute.
Scores of Liberian living in Ghana lined up on the street to welcome their leader.
While in Accra, President Weah is expected to meet President Nana Ado-Dankwa Akufo-Addo to discuss strengthening of bilateral relationships that exist between the two countries.
President Weah is also expected to use his visits to explore avenues for investments in an effort to enhance trade between Liberia and and Ghana.
The two leaders will also discuss issues concerning the promotion of peace within the ECOWAS region as well as cross-border security issues affecting Liberia, Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana.
He was accompanied by Samuel D. Tweah, Minister of Finance, Varney Sirleaf, Minister of Internal Affairs, Eugene Nagbe, Minister of Information, Minister of Transport among others.
