Beyonce Given Groundbreaking Control Over Vogue September Issue

Her vision entails a black photographer shooting the cover for the very first time.
Vogue's September issue is one of the publication's most coveted. It is now being reported that the iconic cover will be under the total control of Beyonce Knowles. Anna Wintour is said to have given the singer the unprecedented honor. As groundbreaking as this is, Beyonce upped the ante by enlisting 23-year-old photographer, Tyler Mitchell. He will be the very first black photographer to shoot this particular cover in all of Vogue's 126-year history.
Mitchell, who has experience shooting campaigns for the likes of Givenchy and Marc Jacobs, has a particular style he describes as "honest."
"I depict black people and people of color in a really real and pure way. There is an honest gaze to my photos."
According to a source that has no authorization to speak to the press, Mitchell's profile made him an unlikely candidate for the shoot and is only in this position because of Queen Bey.
“The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment.”
The publication is legally bound to accept all of Beyonce's wishes for the cover, which had previously been orchestrated by its editor-in-chief. The cover models usually have little to no say about how their image is captured, selected outfits and artistic concepts included. Beyonce was also given complete control over the photos of her that will be found inside the magazine as well as over the captions that will be attached to them.
