Man Who Had An Affair With Someone Else's Wife Loses $8.8 Million Lawsuit

Don't be a cheater.
Cheating on your spouse is already a disgusting act, but one woman's lover is paying the ultimate price for involving himself with a married lady. According to CNNFrancisco Huizar III was ordered to pay $8.8 million to Keith King, who was married to Danielle Swords. Swords (formerly Danielle King) met Huizar about five years after she married King. King, who owned King BMX Stunt Shows, sent his wife to represent his company at a bike show in New York. Huizar was working the event, and finessed his way into Swords life.
Soon after, Swords and Huizar began an affair. The two would be linked together on several occasions. When King bought his wife a solo spa day, she brought Huizar along with her. When King sent his wife on business trips for the company, Huizar would book a hotel not too far from his lover. When Swords went on vacation, you guessed it, Huizar was not far behind. King first noticed inappropriate texts between the two and discovered that his wife was cheating on him. In the state of North Carolina, adultery is still a crime. The alienation of affections law prohibits cheating in marriages. In fact, the alienation of affections law exists in five other states as well: Hawaii, Mississippi, New Mexico, South Dakota and Utah.
Huizar was charged with criminal conversation, alienation of affection, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and assault and battery. Criminal conversation is another law that pertains to cheating within marriages. The assault and battery charges stem from an altercation where Huizar put King in a chokehold. The hefty $8.8 million penalty can be attributed to the fact that Swords worked for her husband. He claims that he lost an employee after the scandal, causing him to also lose money while damaging his company.
