Liberia: Mike Elliott - New Mayor in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota

Mike Elliott, a small-business owner and community activist, defeated Brooklyn Center Mayor Tim Willson in his second try for the seat in four years. Elliott will be the first person of color to serve as the city’s mayor.

The race was a rematch of the 2014 contest, when Willson edged out Elliott by 145 votes. Willson has held the office for 12 years.

Elliott, who was born in Liberia, said residents in the rapidly diversifying city of 31,000 were ready for change. More than half the residents of Brooklyn Center are people of color.

The meeting aimed at advancing ideals that promote the spirit of national unity and political tolerance between opposition political parties and the government. Even though, social media was buzzing about AB Dillion walking out of the meeting, he walked out as an individual and not a political party, "the invitation was extended to political parties and not to individuals," Minister Fahngon stated in his live video. Liberia: Kpanto Entertains Small Crowd at Australia Concert

Kpanto's Australia tour's first night in Perth on April 1st was a tour in terms of attendance, but the artist still managed to put up a fantastic show in spite of the low crowd.
