My Liberian People, Say It Do It

Guys, it is very important that we keep our promises. If you can't follow through with your promise, let it be known as soon as possible, but don't just become nonchalant. As a society, we need to do better. We have lost our values along the way and just don't take accountability for what we say and do. Obviously, we as humans are not perfect beings, but it is ridiculous to see that even those who are followers of Christ within our society, don't keep their words and don't care how their actions affect the ones they made promises to. Keep this in mind: But whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him. (1 John 2:5)

Liberia Music Industry: The Rise of Female Record Labels

C Liberia Clearly Records CEO Berenice Mulubah On Average, artists and songwriters visualize males when they think of producers or of those in senior creative positions. There are less female artists winning awards, getting booked or securing major collaborations with their counterparts. With a slim chance of hope, few females within the Liberian Music Industry are fighting to change the status quo. In 2018, Mz Menneh ran a gender equality campaign for few artists. Pillz initiated an all female cypher.   Berenice Mulubah, CEO of C Liberia Clearly Records, is the first female within the Liberian music industry to own a record label. In 2015, the retired blogger and radio host launched Zama Records, co-partnering with her ex Jon Bricks, who was also the first and only artist of the label. After the two spilt, Berenice Mulubah walked away from the label in good faith. The CEO who is one of the pioneers of the Liberian blogging industry, is back with a new record label, named af

This year, a new wave of Liberian entertainers were in the building for the first time, including Joemade Scott, Lydia Freeman, Benita Urey, Michelle Doe, Roda Scarlett, and many more. Liberia: Stunna "For Life" Video Graded

Stunna "For Life" video Stunna just dropped the visual for his hit song "For Life", starring the queen of airwaves, DJ Master Queen. The creative concept of the video is romantic. The casting was perfect, no better individual to play that role, Master Queen played a very realistic and convincing role. You can see that the scripted was well-written, the concept of the video is clear, the imagery is concise and action very easily understood. Good picture quality, lighting and exposure are perfect, but the color balance, I'm not too impressed with. Good shot composition and staging. High quality audio with clean, clear lyrics and music throughout the video. I definitely love the dialect lines thrown in it. From a scale of 1 to 10, I give this video a 9.5.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

Liberia: Kobazzie "Bounce" Remix Davido Gets Mixed Reviews

Kobazzie and Davido   Kobazzie just dropped the most anticipated remix to Bounce, featuring Davido, and the reviews from fans are 50/50 thumbs up and downs down. Unlike most Liberian songs when featuring an international artist, Davido did not outshined Kobazzie on the remix. His verse was shorter like it should be, a little weaker like it should be, giving Kobazzie all of the shine. I'm sure Davido could have gone harder, and stronger on his verse, but I believe that he was more interested in supporting Kobazzie than to out do him on his own track. That is a boss move, a superstar move and role model move. I am all for it. Both versions of the song are amazing. The original is better to some than others, the remix is better to some than others, and for some, including myself, the qualities are the same, and most importantly, Davido did not outshine Kobazzie. That is gracefully and I dig that. Check out the song and let us know what you think.
