Liberian musician Skoolboy Wizzy

Liberian rapper and Afropop singer Winston Jackson, who over the past years built a burgeoning career under the name Skoolboy Wizzy by releasing independently recorded tunes on online streaming services, has signed a major-label deal with C Liberia Clearly Records (CLC).

C Liberia Clearly Records is responsible for “all aspects of his brand,” according to their statement, including the release and distribution of his music, social media and even touring.

“It’s going to be an extension of what we’ve being doing for years,” CLC ceo Berenice Mulubah said in the news release. “But now we can narrow our focus and be more effective and impactful.”
